Forage Production
The Risk Management Agency's (RMA) Annual Forage insurance program provides coverage on your annually planted forage or grazing crops. This program is designed to protect against a single peril: lack of precipitation.
Differences - Forage Production/PRF
PRF insurance covers perennial forages and grazing land used to feed livestock based on a grid system and rainfall index. The PRF policy is an area-based insurance plan that covers perennial pasture, rangeland, or forage used to feed livestock. It provides producers a risk management tool to cover the precipitation needed to produce forage for their operation.
